Atheism or “scientific fundamentalism?”

John Cavadini, professor of theology and director of the Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame, explains “The New Atheism” in the fall issue of Pillars, which focuses on the intersection of faith and science.

In the article, “Where’s the Wonder?” Cavadini writes, “It is almost as though the new atheism were itself a religion, impervious to reason. It has no God, but many fundamental dogmas.”
