BUFFALO, N.Y.Ave Maria Press authors and staff were among those honored Friday night by the Catholic Press Association during its annual conference.Ave Maria Press authors took home three, 1st-place prizes and numerous other awards.Two first-time authors,Arleen SpenceleyandEve Tushnet, took first place in their respective book categories. Spenceley earned top honors in the teen and young adult category, while Tushnet won in the gender issues category.Angela Alaimo O’Donnellalso won first place in the family life category.Lisa Hendeyand SarahReinhardcaptured first place for best group or association blog.Two members of Ave’s staff–Heather Glenn and Chris Tobin–were also recognized for their work on Ave’sFall 2014 Trade Catalog.
