The Garaventa Center for Catholic Intellectual Life and American Culture at the University of Portland (Ore.) is beginning its “Bringing Eyes of Faith to Film” series Feb. 6.
Rev. Charles Gordon, C.S.C., of the UP Theology Department, will be among those who will discuss recently released popular films and themes of grace, transcendence and redemption. The movie will follow the discussion.
“Brave” is the first film in the free series, which begins at 7:15 p.m. Feb. 6 at Shirley Hall Room 301. Other films include “Hunger Games” (March 5) and “The Avengers” (April 24).
