Fr. Cregan recently returned from Agartala, India, where he met with five alumni who are participating in Stonehill’s post-graduate service program Extension India. In August, Fr. Cregan will travel with three alumni volunteering in Stonehill’s Extension Dominican Republic program. The young people will work for about a year at Hogar delNino, a daycare and school serving more than 1,500 children that also provides dental and medical care to another 9,000 children in the community.

Fr. Cregan ends his summer travels with a trip to Haiti to meet with 2012 graduate Katherine Sullivan, who is conducting research as part of the Notre Dame Haiti Program, which seeks to eliminate a mosquito-borne illness affecting more than 2 million Haitians.

During Spring Break, Fr. Cregan visited three alumni doing post-graduate service in the College’sExtension Hondurasprogram, wherevolunteers work at the Guaimaca Mission. The mission includes a health clinic, girls’ school and a 227-acre farm.
