Rev. John Denning, C.S.C., president of Stonehill College (Easton, Mass.), was featured in Sunday’s Brockton Enterprise News.
The wide-ranging interview covered topics including enrollment, service learning, the College’s sewer contract with the city and Catholic moral views on contraception. Fr. Denning was inaugurated at Stonehill’s 10th president last fall.
On service – a core commitment of Holy Cross colleges and universities – Fr. Denning told the newspaper: “In 2012 Stonehill College was named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, the highest federal recognition a college or university can receive for its commitment to volunteering, service-learning and civic engagement. It’s the sixth time in seven years that Stonehill College has earned the distinction.”
