Fr. Doyle will serve at Andre House

Rev. Thomas Doyle, C.S.C.Rev. Thomas P. Doyle, C.S.C., has been appointed as the new executive director of Andre House in Phoenix. He follows Rev. Eric J. Schimmel, C.S.C., who served as the executive director of Andre House since 2008.

Fr. Doyle is a native of Colville, Wash., and was most recently a faculty fellow and leadership development specialist in the University of Notre Dame’s Institute for Educational Initiatives (IEI). He was also the senior financial analyst for ACE Consulting.

After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1989, Fr. Doyle worked for Deloitte & Touche Consulting in Seattle. After entering the Congregation of Holy Cross in 1992, he earned his master of divinity degree in 1996. He was ordained in 1998. In 2003, Fr. Doyle earned an M.B.A. and was awarded the Dean’s Award in 2003 at Harvard Business School.

Prior to coming to Andre House, Fr. Doyle held the positions of vice president for student affairs at the University of Notre Dame and at the University of Portland he was vice president for university relations and then executive vice president.

Andre House is a ministry of hospitality for the poor and homeless in the Phoenix area. Founded in 1984 by two Holy Cross priests, Andre House blends the traditions of the Catholic Worker and the Congregation of Holy Cross in direct service to the poor.
