Notre Dame Magazine features a reflection about Rev. John Dunne, C.S.C., by a former student and friend of the ailing priest, in its Sept. 12, 2013, issue.
Fr. Dunne, a theology professor at the University of Notre Dame, recently fell at the Detroit airport and remains in a Mishawaka hospital, recovering from a head injury. Gus Zuehlke, founder and president ofBOSCO, a nonprofit group that brings Internet and computer access to people in Uganda, wrote the reflection. Fr. Dunne inspired the project. The ND Magazine piece is called “I Feel God Here: The Presence of John Dunne.”
Zuehlke compares Fr. Dunne’s theology in his latest book, “Eternal Consciousness,” with Pope Francis’ encyclical, “Lumen Fidei.” “As I read the encyclical, I was amazed at how much Francis’ teaching shared themes with John’s theology,” he said.
