Rev. John Phalen, C.S.C., helped lead a presentation on the Rosary for Hispanic families in the Diocese of Salt Lake City recently.
Fr. Phalen is president of Holy Cross Family Ministries, which also includes Family Rosary. The international organization, a mission of the United States Province, was founded by Servant of God Patrick Peyton to strengthen the family through prayer, especially the Rosary.
He and Dr. Antonio Ramirez de Leon lead a “Day for Families and a Living Rosary” on Oct. 26. The themes of the day were “The family that prays together, stays together,” coined by Fr. Peyton, and “The New Evangelization.” Fr. Phalen encourage attendees to relate praying the Rosary to their families and current world events.
