Fr. Williams Featured in Business World

Father Oliver Williams

Rev. Oliver F. Williams, C.S.C., writes about businesses whose purpose is advancing the common good in the Feb. 6, 2013, edition of Business World.

Fr. Williams is Professor of Business Ethics and Catholic Social Teaching at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business.

He said CEOs of companies such as Whole Foods Market, Starbucks, Southwest Airlines and Twitter recognize the dignity of their stakeholders and are taking on projects that help alleviate poverty. They do this because they recognize that their organizations have the talent and wherewithal to tackle social issues and they want to make the world a better place, Fr. Williams said.
