Holy Cross Makes Headlines in Colorado

Today the Fighting Irish will take the field against the Air Force Academy at Falcons Stadium, but it was Rev. Ron Raab, C.S.C., who made the front page in the Colorado Springs Gazette with the headline “Notre Dame ties run deep in the Colorado Springs community.”

Fr. Ron is the pastor of Holy Cross’ Tri-Community Cathlolic Parish in Colorado Springs. In today’s article, Fr. Ron talks about Holy Cross’ impact in the Colorado Springs area and around the world. “We are a lot bigger than Notre Dame,” Fr. Ron told the Gazette.”We’re worldwide and we’re about education, we’re about serving the poor, we’re about parish ministry and we’re about other things.”

TheHoly Cross Novitiateis also in the Colorado Springs area. The Novices recentlyhelped to rebuild a trail in Garden of the Gods that had eroded after the Waldo Canyon fire and the ensuing floods.
