A 93-year-old Holy Cross priest has donated his collection of handmade, handcrafted Easter eggs to fund a scholarship in his name at Stonehill College.
Stonehill is an educational ministry of the U.S. Province of Priests and Brothers in Easton, Mass.
Rev. Albert Croce, C.S.C., former director of development at Stonehill in the 1970s, has elaborately decorated eggs as a hobby for about 40 years.In addition to donating the decorated eggs to be sold, Fr. Crocealsogave undecorated eggs and supplies to the college’s art department in an effort toallow students tolearnhis craft.
Fr. Croce lives in the Holy Cross Community in North Dartmouth, Mass.
