Julianne Wallace has joined the Province in the newly created role of director of Apostolic Mission & Charism. In this new role, Julianne will report to Rev. William M. Lies, C.S.C., provincial superior, and will serve on the provincial leadership team as a provincial assistant.
She will be responsible for deepening the sense of and commitment to the Holy Cross mission and charism through the province apostolates, including parishes, colleges and universities, and other Holy Cross ministries. This position focuses both on the members of the U.S. Province as well as our lay collaborators, educating others on Holy Cross’ role in the Church and society as well as promoting knowledge of the charism of the Holy Cross family.
Wallace joins Holy Cross from Alvernia University, a Franciscan institution in Reading, Pennsylvania, where she served most recently as their Vice President for Mission and Ministry after directing their Campus Ministry for two years. Prior to this, she was associate director of Faith Formation, Worship, and Ministry at St. Bonaventure University in western New York and has held various roles in Campus Ministry and Liturgy as she advanced in her faith education.
Wallace earned a Doctor of Ministry in Educational Leadership from Virginia Theological Seminary. She also holds a Master of Theological Studies degree in Word and Worship from the Washington Theological Union in Washington, D.C., and a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance (flute and orchestral conducting) from the University of Mary Washington in Virginia.
