As the University of Notre Dame and its football fans prepare for tonight’s matchup against Alabama in Miami for the national championship, nine students from King’s College (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.) are in South Bend , Ind., volunteering on Notre Dame’s home turf.
Students are participating in a six-day service project at the South Bend Center for the Homeless through the King’s College’s Students Engaged in Reflective Volunteer Experience. Other SERVE teams are working in San Antonio, Texas, and at Andre House in Phoenix. Service projects are connected to sites administered by the Congregation of Holy Cross. King’s and Notre Dame are both educational ministries of the U.S. Province.
