As we continue our celebration of the 150th anniversary of the founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross, Blessed Basil Moreau's, entry into eternal life, we are reminded to promote the spirituality and charism that Blessed Moreau gave to Holy Cross. It is also a time to deepen devotion to this holy religious and priest and to pray for his canonization so that, along with the Congregation of Holy Cross, the Universal Church can find inspiration in his holiness, consolation in his intercession, and strength in his fidelity to the Cross.

Prayer For the Canonization of Blessed Basil Moreau

O God,
you are most admirable in your saints.
We ask you to grant
that the Church may glorify,
at the earliest opportuntiy,
Blessed Basil Moreau,
Founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross.
May we be led to imitate his virtues.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
