Provincial Superior Rev. Thomas J. O’Hara, C.S.C., is pleased to welcomeKent Goffinet as the new director of Province developmentfor the Congregation of Holy Cross, United States Province. Kent started his position on Jan. 20, 2014.
Previously the director of stewardship and development for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis for eight years, he led a team that successfully launched and completed a capital campaign and increased support for the archdiocesan annual appeal by significantly growing its major gift society.
A 1992 graduate of Notre Dame, Kentworked for the University of Notre Dame for nearly thirteen years in several roles in the development office. Beginning in the Annual Fund, he became director of stewardship programs and then worked as a major gifts officer in the Chicago office.Kent’s final accomplishment at Notre Dame was the design and implementation of the President’s Circle, the University’s top annual unrestricted giving society. For Holy Cross, he will lead efforts to raise funds for seminarian education, the care of the Province’s retired priests and brothers and the Province’s international mission work.
Kent and his wife Karen (also ND ’92), have three children: Alex, Ryan and Maria.
