Today the General Chapter began with breakfast, Morning Prayer and a Votive Mass of the Holy Spirit with Fr. Warner presiding. The delegates spent the morning in prayer and reflection in preparation for the election of Superior General.
Following lunch, the chapter delegates gathered and began voting for Superior General. Fr. Warner presided and began by expressing his gratitude to the 5 men who allowed their names to go forward as nominees for this election.
The voting is now complete and Fr. Robert Epping has been elected the 13th Superior General of the Congregation of Holy Cross. Fr. Robert Epping has accepted his election.
Let us pray for the intercession of Blessed Basile Moreau and Saint Andre Bessette on behalf of Fr. Robert Epping and on the continuing deliberations of this Chapter.
