Parishioners from St. Adalbert Parish in South Bend, Ind., participated in a pilgrimage Wednesday (Nov. 13, 2013) in honor of the feast of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, patron of immigrants.
St. Adalbert, an apostolate of the U.S. Province, has a large immigrant population. Its members joined those from Our Lady of Hungary Parish on the journey. The group walked from St. Joseph’s Parish, another Holy Cross Church, to the University of Notre Dame, reciting the Rosary and singing along the 55-minute route. At ND, they joined students from government and the Institute for Latino studies for food, music and prayer. The goal of the pilgrimage was to bring attention to immigration reform.
