The charism of the Congregation of Holy Cross is to build up God’s Kingdom by educating the minds and hearts of those we serve in our education, parish and mission settings throughout the world.

World Mission Sunday, organized by the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, is a day set aside for Catholics worldwide to recommit themselves to the Church’s missionary activity through prayer and sacrifice.

This yearWorld Mission Sunday is on Oct. 20 and the theme is “Do Good on Earth.”You can join in the cause by supporting the work of the Holy Cross Mission Center, which is sponsored by the United States Province.

The U.S. Province includes international missionsin Chile, East Africa, Peru and Mexico, where religious serve the poorest of the poor through our parishes, schools and health clinics. In addition, the Mission Center supports areas with which the U.S. Province has a special relationship, including Holy Cross’ Sacred Heart of Jesus Province in Bangladesh. Globally, the Mission Center supports the international mission work of the Congregation of Holy Cross, spanning 16 countries on five continents. It also helps coordinate special mission initiatives such as the relief efforts in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.
