The Catholic Academy Recognizes Family Theater Productions

Family Theater Productions

Family Theater Production’s half hour television drama, “You Will See,” was recognized recently by the Catholic Academy for Communication Arts Professionals during their 47th Annual Gabriel Awards.

“You Will See” is part of Family Theater Production’s Manifest Mysteries series which blends contemporary issues with insights from the Mysteries of the Rosary into modern compelling dramas for teenagers, young adults and families. Each comes with study guide for family or classroom discussion.

“You Will See” is a modern drama depiction of The Presentation in the Temple. It’s the inspiring story of a rebellious teen belligerently performing community service and how he is challenged by a nursing home resident to be Christ to others.

The Gabriel Awards were held during the Catholic Media Conference in Indianapolis June 20-22. The program won a Gabriel Certificate of Merit.

Family Theater Productions, a co-sponsor of the Gabriel Awards, also named TV and film actor Gary Sinise as the 2012 recipient of the Gabriel Award for personal Achievement. The award is presented in memory of Servant of God Patrick Peyton and is awarded to an individual who helps brings a deeper appreciation of the dignity of the human spirit to radio, TV, and/or film. The actor best known for his roles on CBS’s “CSI:NY” and Lt. Dan in Forest Gump co-founded Operation Iraqi Children, which helps provide U.S. military with school kits to give to children in the war-torn country. The program was also able to provide assistance to areas impacted by Hurricane Katrina. Active in the USO, Sinise also serves as the National Spokesperson for the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial.

Family Theater Productions is a ministry of the United States Province sponsored by Holy Cross Family Ministries in North Easton, Mass., which also encompasses Family Rosary and Father Peyton Family Institute.
