Two of the U.S. Province’s educational apostolates have signed on to a pledge to protect the environment.
The University of Portland (Ore.) and the University of Notre Dame (Ind.) have signed the St. Francis Pledge to Care for Creation and the Poor. The pledge is a commitment made by Catholic individuals, families, organizations and institutions to live their faith by protecting God’s creations and advocating for those living in poverty who are most harshly impacted by climate change.
Rev. E. William Beauchamp, C.S.C., President of the University of Portland, signed the pledge recently.
