Stonehill graduation 2013

All four U.S. Province colleges and universities far exceed the average national graduation rate for students with bachelor’s degrees.

The national average is 37.9 percent.

The University of Notre Dame is highest among the Province’s four schools with a graduation rate of 96 percent. Stonehill College is next at 78 percent; followed by the University of Portland, 75 percent; and King’s College, 70 percent.

“Although Catholic colleges and universities have completion rates similar to their private four-year college peers, students who begin at Catholic institutions tend to stay enrolled in their initial institution and reap the benefits of more rapid degree completion than students in other sectors of higher education ,” according to a report by the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities.
