Two Holy Cross Priests Ordained

Notre Dame, Ind. – It was a glorious weekend, as two more priests were welcomed into the priesthood of the Congregation of Holy Cross, Indiana Province. More than a hundred out of of our community of approximately 400 from around the world were on hand for the glorious celebration.

Ordinations for Rev. John Britto Antony, C.S.C., and Paul Michael Ybarra, C.S.C., took place on Saturday, April 30 in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, which was founded by Holy Cross Priest Rev. Edward Sorin, C.S.C. The Most Reverend Daniel R. Jenky, C.S.C., the Bishop of Peoria, Ill., and a member of Holy Cross himself, presided over Ordination.

At the conclusion of the Mass the two newly ordained priests, Fathers John and Paul exited the Basilica to a roaring applause and the welcoming loving arms of their fellow brothers in the priesthood in the community of Holy Cross.

Fr. Britto, C.S.C., will now serve as Associate Pastor at St. Francis/Sacred Heaert Parish in Bennington, Vt. Fr. Ybarra, C.S.C., will serve as Associate Pastor at St. John Vianney Parish in Goodyear, Ariz.
