St. André Bessette
It is with great joy that the Congregation of Holy Cross celebrated the canonization of it's first saint, St. André Bessette on October 17, 2010.
Worldwide the Holy Cross community observes St. André's Feast Day on Jan. 7, because the Vatican and many nations observe the Feast of Epiphany on Jan. 6.
St. André was a humble man who gave his life to the Lord and to the people of God, especially to the sick and afflicted. St. André is the first Holy Cross religious to be canonized a saint.
These pages are dedicated to helping others grow in appreciation and understanding of his powerful life and witness.
