In March, under the authority of the General Administration of Congregation of Holy Cross, 4 Holy Cross priests and 4 Holy Cross brothers arrived in Papua New Guinea to initiate the new “Holy Family Mission.” This initiative marks the first foreign Mission undertaken by the Congregation in nearly four decades, and although the Holy Cross Mission Center does not provide financial support for it, news of these men’s arrival has renewed our zeal and that of our partners.
The Holy Family Mission focuses on two parishes: Christ the King in Hantova and Sacred Heart in Tinputz, which together serve over 10,000 parishioners and have affiliated schools. The team of eight Holy Cross missionaries leads this effort with the aim of addressing the pastoral needs of families in the region. Your prayers are greatly appreciated!
