Favorite Way to Pray: Before the Blessed Sacrament

What drew you to Holy Cross? A family friend encouraged me to connect with Holy Cross, believing its mission and communal life would be a good fit for me. I was initially drawn to the charism and the tangible ways the community makes God known, loved, and served. But it was meeting the people that truly convinced me. There was a genuine sense of family, and it was obvious that the men genuinely knew and cared for one another. Through these experiences, I sensed God calling me to take the next step in exploring a vocation with Holy Cross.

Your Vocation Story: Marriage and family life had always been the plan for me. In my last years on active duty, I felt God was inviting me to serve Him through the priesthood. At first, I was quite hesitant, but over time my resistance gave way to a deep sense of peace with His plan rather than my own. After serving in the Air Force and later working in airline network planning, I came to realize that even meaningful professional success could not satisfy the deepest desires of my heart. In meeting Holy Cross, I found a community where I could grow into the man God was calling me to be, build authentic relationships, and become a channel of His grace through religious life.
