This academic year, under the leadership of Hall Director Fr. Nik Guiney, C.S.C. (U.S. Province), the men of Christie Hall at the University of Portland raised $1,113 in support of Br. André Hospital in Dandora, Kenya. The funds were collected through their annual Christie Pub variety show, one of the University’s most popular student events. Throughout the year, residents also prayed weekly for the Dandora community at Hall Mass and heard Fr. Nik’s stories about Br. André Hospital from his time ministering there while he was in seminary. The men of Christie Hall are already looking ahead with excitement, hoping to grow their impact and better know the staff at Br. Andre Hospital in the coming year.
All registered Twinning partners who wish to increase the impact of their fundraising are encouraged to learn more about the $2,000 Bricklayers Matching Grant made available by the Holy Cross Mission Center. The deadline to apply is June 30, 2025.
