“Giving alms to the poor is a witness to fraternal charity: it is also a work of justice pleasing to God.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2462)
Give alms, give hope, this Lent.
As we prepare our hearts for Easter, we invite you and your Catholic community to support the Mission of the Congregation of Holy Cross through your Lenten almsgiving efforts.
- $6 funds the costs of a high school student attending a retreat at St. Joseph’s School of Industrial Trades in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
- $14 allows women to sew an entire outfit at St. Felista Catholic Church in Utegi, Tanzania.
- $2700 is equivalent to the cost of a house for the “Roof for My Neighbor” projects done by Colegio Fe y Alegría no. 25 in Canto Grande, Peru.
- Registered Twinning partners have the option to contribute to their Twinning partners outside the U.S.
