Petitions from the Missionaries of the Holy Family Mission

The following are prayer requests from the Holy Cross missionaries to the Holy Family Mission in Papua New Guinea, a new endeavor overseen by the Superior General of the Congregation of Holy Cross. We invite you to carry these intentions with you in your personal prayer or in your community’s liturgies.

  • That Holy Cross will continue to be open to the will of God and the needs of the Church and the people whom we will serve in Bougainville (Br. Jimmy Walters, C.S.C.)
  • That we may always remember that “our mission is the Lord’s and so is the strength for it.” (Constitutions 2:20) (Br. Jimmy Walters, C.S.C.)
  • For the good health of the missionaries (Fr. Thomas John, C.S.C.)
  • For unity of mind and heart for the Mission (Fr. Thomas John, C.S.C.)
  • For the understanding of God’s will and the courage to fulfill it (Br. Victor Coraya, C.S.C.)
  • To strengthen the missionaries’ resolve, deepen their compassion, and unite them in their purpose to glorify God through their work (Br. Victor Coraya, C.S.C.)
  • For the success of this Mission by God’s grace and for His holy will to be done (Fr. Agaba Emmanuel, C.S.C.)
  • That the 8 Holy Cross missionaries to Papua New Guinea may serve God with zeal and love by proclamation of the Word of God (Fr. Agaba Emmanuel, C.S.C.)
  • For genuine Christian life and calling as true witnesses and followers of Christ by the missionaries’ way of life in words and deeds (Fr. Agaba Emmanuel, C.S.C.)
  • That the missionaries may resemble the Holy Family in their Mission (Fr. Amalraj, C.S.C.)

May Christ grant each of these prayers in accordance with His most perfect will.
