Sacred Heart Province Improves Holy Cross Pastoral Center Facilities
Located in Bhadun-Gazipur, Bangladesh, the Holy Cross Pastoral Center is managed by the Sacred Heart Province of Priests and offers seminars, retreats, and formation programs for priests and seminarians, religious brothers and sisters, and the lay faithful. The Pastoral Center was constructed in 2014 as a three-story building with a foundation strong enough to support an additional floor when the need would arise to expand in the future. Sacred Heart Province has seen significant impact and need in the use of the Pastoral Center and decided to vertically extend it to a four-story building in 2023. Once the building extension was complete, there was a noticeable color differentiation between the original three floors and the newly added fourth floor.
Through the generosity of benefactors, the Holy Cross Mission Center provided funding to repaint the entire building, allowing for a cohesive and inviting look for all who stay at the Pastoral Center. Additionally, the Mission Center provided funds this year to install air conditioning units and water heaters in each of the twenty new guest rooms that were added in the fourth floor extension. These new enhancements to the building have made it an enjoyable space for all who stay at the Pastoral Center and allow them to more fully appreciate the beauty of the campus grounds.
