Green served at Holy Cross Parish, South Bend, Ind., before being assigned to serve at the University of Notre Dame as Rector of Sorin Hall. From 1977 to 1984, Fr. Fr. Green was particularly proud that his niece and four nephews all graduated from Notre Dame. He was a beloved “priest in residence” at Welsh Family Hall for many years. He moved to Holy Cross House, Notre Dame, Ind., in 2019.
