Favorite Way to Pray: I love to sing despite my lack of talent, and I also enjoy simply sitting in the Lord’s presence and allowing my thoughts to silence so God can speak to me.

What drew you to Holy Cross? I first heard God’s call to the priesthood or brotherhood during a Steubenville conference in 2017. During adoration, I opened my soul to the Lord and experienced His immeasurable mercy and love. In high school my relationship with God grew, and as I grew closer to Him, the subtle call to discern religious life grew. I felt that the priesthood would allow me to not just experience God’s unfathomable love for me, but also give me an opportunity to share God’s infinite love with others.

I was originally introduced to the Congregation of Holy Cross by my older sister, Molly, who graduated from Notre Dame in 2021. When I visited her during the week of priestly ordinations, everywhere I looked there was a priest, deacon, brother, or seminarian. I met so many holy people from around the world that were so passionate about Catholicism and filled with so much wisdom. Every single one of them treated me as if I were an old friend and the sense of community was so comforting and inviting. Naturally, I instantly fell in love with the order and never looked back.
