As the General Council makes the visit to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Province, we pray for our confreres in that Province. As they continue ‘to struggle for justice’ and ‘to stand by the side of misery we cannot relieve’ in their beloved Haiti, thus experiencing a taste of ‘Jesus’ suffering for us,’ may they be evermore ‘joined in one communal response to the Lord’s mission’ and thus be ‘men with hope to bring’ (Constitutions of the Congregation of Holy Cross 8:115, 2:18, 8:118).
