We are excited to announce that the 2026–27 Twinning Year is officially underway!
The new Twinning Year began with a virtual Twinning Year Kickoff Information Session on July 15, 2026, bringing together international Twinning Site Liaisons from Holy Cross ministries in Bangladesh, Chile, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Mexico, and Peru. During the session, Holy Cross Mission Center (HCMC) Outreach Coordinator Maria Kangapadan invited the men to take the next step in strengthening their Twinning relationships by reaching out to their U.S. Twinning Site Liaisons to schedule a planning call in August.
Planning calls will serve as opportunities for Twinning Partners to get to know one another, establish a personal relationship, and continue ongoing communication. Together, they will plan their Kickoff Event in October, during World Mission Month. This Kickoff Event is an opportunity for both Twinning Partners to deepen their relationships and strengthen the Holy Cross family across the world. During the event, members of each community will introduce themselves and share about their ministries using conversation starters that will be provided in advance.
Built on the three pillars of prayer, fundraising, and encounter, the Twinning Program reminds us that the Congregation of Holy Cross exists in communities around the world. By building meaningful relationships, Twinning Partners come to know the people behind their prayers and fundraising efforts, even when an in-person encounter is not possible.
The 2026–27 Twinning Year also includes a Bricklayers Matching Grant of up to $2,000 offered by the HCMC to help incentivize fundraising efforts of registered Twinning Partners in the U.S. Registered Twinning Partners outside the United States are eligible to request these funds through the HCMC’s quarterly grant cycles. This matching opportunity encourages communities to deepen their commitment to their Twinning Partner while expanding the impact of their shared mission.
