Throughout September, the psychology department of Yancana Huasy — a Holy Cross ministry in Peru that provides assistance to special needs children and their families — held an “Attention and Concentration” workshop for children ages six through eleven.
The children attended sessions on Mondays, where three psychologists provided them with personalized support. Participating in games and exercises, the children worked on strengthening their concentration, their ability to follow instructions, and their emotional regulation.
The development of these skills will empower the children to move forward with greater autonomy and self-confidence.
