Celebrating Holy Cross Spirituality at Yancana Huasy

SPIRITUALITY DAY OF THE CONGREGATION OF HOLY CROSS AT YANCANA HUASY
On April 30, 2025, the staff of the Yancana Huasy institution participated in a special day dedicated to a deepened understanding of the spirituality of the Congregation of Holy Cross. The event included the participation of the institution’s professionals, teachers from the Señor de la Esperanza Special Education Center (CEBE), and presenters Rev. Juan Phalen, C.S.C., and Elsa Padilla.
During the day, participants reflected on the presence of God in the simple and everyday—especially in people with disabilities. The spirituality of Holy Cross was emphasized as a call to recognize the face of Christ in the most vulnerable, understanding that God walks with us and reveals Himself in those who most need love, care, and dignity.
This gathering aimed to strengthen the staff’s sense of mission and service, renewing their commitment to accompany with faith and dedication those who are most in need.
“Spirituality is a source of joy and hope.”
