From May 27 to 29, 2026, Nuestra Señora de Andacollo (Our Lady of Andacollo) School in Chile celebrated the Week of Saint André Bessette as a way to promote the legacy and spirituality of this Holy Cross saint among the school community and its families.
Various activities were held as part of the celebration, including a Healing Mass on May 27 at Parroquia Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Andacollo (Our Lady of the Rosary of Andacollo Parish). During the Mass, presided over by Rev. Rómulo Vera, C.S.C., attendees were invited to be anointed with the oil of St. André.
On May 28 and 29, activities honoring St. André Bessette were incorporated into the traditional Andacollo Festival de la Voz (Festival of the Voice), a local music festival that draws thousands annually. This year, Nuestra Señora de Andacollo students, parents, and staff shared their artistic talents inspired by the values and virtues of the Canadian saint of Holy Cross.
