Between November 2025 and January 2026, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Province (Bangladesh) was blessed to celebrate six priestly Ordinations. The Ordinations took place across the country in various dioceses, representing the diversity of the province’s membership.
Those ordained included: Rev. Nayan Joseph Gomes, C.S.C. (SHJ), Rev. Promod Thomas Rozario, C.S.C. (SHJ), Rev. Soikat Benedict Kulentuno, C.S.C. (SHJ), Rev. Sushil Ignatius Soren, C.S.C. (SHJ), Rev. Jeorme Mosenting Suting, C.S.C. (SHJ), and Rev. Tharson Francis Mrong, C.S.C. (SHJ).
Some members of the U.S. Province of Priests and Brothers, led by Rev. James Gallagher, C.S.C. (US), the Rector of Moreau Seminary and Scholasticate, were present for both Fr. Soikat and Fr. Promod’s Ordinations, since the two men completed their theological studies and final years of initial formation at Moreau Seminary and Scholasticate in Notre Dame, Indiana.
We invite you to join us in praying for these newly ordained men as they minister to the people of Bangladesh! May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be their model as well as their strength in their ministry as Holy Cross priests.
