Fr. Berg Writes about the Effects of PTSD

A Holy Cross priest has written a book about the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder on families, relationships and work.

Rev. Richard Berg, C.S.C., a retired psychology professor from the University of Portland and longtime pastor at St. Andre Bessette Catholic Church in Portland, Ore., is the author of the newly release “Scars,” published by Corby Books, Lakeville, Ind. Fr. Berg previously wrote a book on how depression affects family and friends.

Fr. Berg is Chaplain at Mary’s Woods, a retirement community at the Holy Names Sisters’ Convent in Marylhurst, Ore. He lives in the Holy Cross Community at UP.
