Holy Cross Deacon Assists at Papal Mass

Father Matthew Kuczora, CRev. Mr. Matthew Kuczora, C.S.C., currently serving at Nuestra Madre Santisima de la Luz Parish in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, had the spiritually rewarding experience of seeing Pope Benedict XVI on his recent trip to Silao, Mexico. Deacon Kuczora was also able to assist at Mass.

Deacon Kuczora shared his story with Today’s Catholic, the diocesan newspaper for Fort Wayne-South Bend, Ind., in the April 8, 2012 issue.

Kuczora will be Ordained on Saturday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. After Ordination, Kuczora will return to Mexico. Father Kuczora will celebrate his first Mass, a Mass of Thanksgiving, on Sunday, April 15 at 11:45 a.m. at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
