Rev. R. Bradley Beaupre, C.S.C. | January 25, 1941 – February 15, 2023

Rev. R. Bradley Beaupre, C.S.C., 82, died peacefully at the Titusville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on February 15, 2023 after a short illness.

Fr. Beaupre was born on January 25, 1941 in Hardwick, Vermont, the oldest of two children to Roland and Frances (Warren) Beaupre, who preceded him in death.

Fr. Beaupre attended St. Johnsbury schools through eighth grade and then entered St. Johnsbury Academy in 1955. During his senior year, he heard the call from God to become a Holy Cross priest. In 1959, he entered Holy Cross Seminary at Stonehill College as a postulant. He entered the Holy Cross Novitiate in Bennington, VT on August 15, 1960, professed first vows on August 16, 1961 and final vows on August 16, 1964. After graduating from Stonehill College in 1964, with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, he went on to Holy Cross College in Washington, D.C. where he earned his master’s degree in theology in 1968. He was ordained a Holy Cross priest on December 21, 1968 at Holy Cross Seminary in North Easton, Mass.

From 1969 to 1974, Fr. Beaupre taught at Notre Dame High School in Fairfield, CT, before serving as a counselor at Waterbury Catholic High School in Waterbury, CT for one year. In 1974, Fr. Beaupre then earned a master’s degree in counseling from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Conn. From 1974 to1976, Fr. Beaupre served as a chaplain at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Beginning in 1976, he served as a counselor at Immaculate High School in Danbury, CT for six years before he was assigned associate pastor at Most Holy Trinity Parish in Saco, ME. From 1988 to 1997, he served as treasurer and steward of the Eastern Province before serving as the Superior of the Holy Cross Community at Stonehill College from 1997 to 2002. Beginning in 2002, Fr. Beaupre served as pastor of Holy Cross Church in South Easton, MA for six years. In 2008 he was appointed pastor at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Viera, FL, were he served for the next ten years. From 2018 to 2023, Fr. Beaupre served as Superior at Christopher Lodge in Cocoa Beach, FL.

Fr. Beaupre was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother-in-law Richard Parr. He is survived by his younger sister, Donna Parr.

There will be visitation on Monday, February 27th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Holy Cross Parish(225 Purchase Street, South Easton, Mass.). Burial will be in the community cemetery at Stonehill College. Kane Funeral Home, Easton, is in charge of the arrangements.
